Shopify & eCommerce Development FAQs
Do you work on Shopify Plus or standard Shopify?
Both. Standard Shopify covers most theme, section, and app integration work. Shopify Plus unlocks checkout extensibility, Shopify Functions, B2B catalogs, and script-level customization. We scope the build around the plan you are on and flag when a requirement genuinely needs Plus.
Can you customize the Shopify checkout?
On Shopify Plus, yes. Checkout UI extensions handle custom fields, messaging, and upsells. Shopify Functions handle discount, shipping, and payment logic. Checkout.liquid was deprecated, so anything built on it needs migrating to the extensibility model.
Will you work on my live theme?
No. We duplicate your theme, build there, and give you a preview link. Nothing touches the live storefront until you approve it. This also means a rollback is instant if something unexpected surfaces after publish.
How do you handle app conflicts?
App conflicts are one of the most common problems we get called in for. We isolate which app is causing the issue, then either resolve it in the theme code, replace the app’s function with native code, or work with the app developer. We tell you which of the three we recommend and why.
Can you convert a Figma design into a Shopify theme?
Yes. We build pixel-accurate, responsive Shopify themes from Figma, XD, or Sketch files. Sections are built to be editable in the theme customizer so your team can update content without a developer.
Do you build headless Shopify storefronts?
Yes, on Hydrogen or Next.js with the Storefront API. Headless suits brands with complex content needs or performance requirements that a Liquid theme cannot meet. It also adds cost and maintenance, so we will tell you honestly if your use case does not justify it.
Will my clients know you exist?
Not on white-label engagements. We build under your brand, communicate only with your team, and never appear in client-facing documents or calls. Several agencies have worked with us for years without a client ever knowing.
